The William KB Foundation INC was founded in memory of William KB Chowoe who was denied medical services by Firestone Plantation Hospital and he died in front of the hospital. This is a charitable, educational, scientific and religious organization. We have corresponding section to the federal tax code and section 501 c (3) of the internal Revenue Code. We are devoted to strengthen the health delivery systems in Liberia by treating patients and providing medical services at hospital centers in Liberia. WKBF is motivated to help men and wo men to have a second chance to life with medical support, educational funding and bringing changes to the communities. We firmly believe that, given the adequate support and opportunity to people in Liberia will help the poor overcome poverty and realize their full potential.
We envision a Liberia where people and families will thrive and live in dignity with access to basic necessities of life such as good health, education and community awareness.
WKBF focuses on urgent critical needs as well as long term solutions for our communities. Our programs rest on four premises. Firstly, the long-term success of our community or nation depends on our ability to harness the potential of the Liberian people. Mobile clinic will be instilled to provide medical support for the Liberian communities. Secondly, we realized the potential of all Liberians, most especially the young Liberians that are ego for development and bringing jobs in Liberia. In addition, a hospital will be built to create jobs for the Liberians communities. Finally, WKBF will create skills, knowledge and opportunities that poor and vulnerable Liberian need to get out abject poverty. WKBF will also provide scholarship to students, improve science laboratory for schools and built medical center in other to eliminate the medical issues in Liberian. WKBF is willing to work in partnership with other organization, Liberians and shareholders to implement its strategies.
● INVEST: To invest in equipping people in Liberia with the resources, opportunities that includes hospitals, mobile clinic and enable them improve their lives and communities.
● SUPPORT: To mobilize resources from our community and the Diaspora areas includes scholarships, schools with science laboratory equipment.
● INTERVENTION: provide immediate intervention for Liberian and their families by helping them meet their most immediate needs while we explore long term solutions to the challenges they face.
● TRANSFORM: To transform Liberians through systematic empowerment and use strategies that serves as a model for the development of Liberian talents.
⮚ OPERATIONAL SUPPORT: Designed to pursue long term strategies to support communities and families currently facing health issues, providing educational funding and capacity to adequately help Liberians achieve their goals. We will also enhance jobs training, medical support, and skills productivity of Liberians by maximizing the economic benefits of their labor, as well as help rural communities address problems that hamper their life struggle. Through this initiative, we will seek to promote better education for Liberians and built a health care system that will provide better medical services. is willing to collaborate with relevant partners to build this beautiful country call Liberia.
⮚ TALENT DEVELOPMENT: Designed to identify and support young talent. Young people with the talent and desire to develop them will be supported with resources, skills training and networking opportunities to be successful.
⮚ WKBF MICRO-CREDIT PROJECT: designed to create and support economic opportunities for people in poor communities in Liberia to rise from poverty by enabling them to build micro businesses, increase their income, reduce their vulnerability, and to become economic agents of change in their families and communities. The program seeks to promote economic independence of by equipping them with the requisite financial resources, knowledge, skills and psycho-social support for the effective and efficient management of their businesses and finances.
